Over the last 20 years, our coastal cities have seen major changes in residential developments, retail developments, beautification, and more. The seaside charm of South Florida remains, but our accessibility and establishment as a top place to raise a family, start a business, travel to, and more has grown. Whether you already call this area home or are looking for more reasons to make the move, here are 5 new developments to look forward to in 2023 and beyond.
Earlier in December, developers officially broke ground on the newest luxury high-rise condominium in our area: Dual towers, named Beach Tower & Marina Tower, from the iconic Ritz-Carlton brand will feature over 200 residences and a number of luxury amenities, including access to private beach & yacht clubs, on-premise dining, tropical pool decks, health & wellness programming, a spa, and much more. This property is said to be a game-changer for South Florida, bringing resort-style living to the ever-evolving town of Pompano Beach.
Originally opened in 1926, the long-standing Delray Beach Golf Club will undergo a well-deserved makeover in 2023. The City of Delray Beach has recently hired a real estate development company to begin plans for a redesigned, world-class 18-hole championship golf course that will replace its existing 9-hole course. Brand new amenities, including a refurbished clubhouse, golf pro shop, and a restaurant, will also be part of the revitalization project. This $10 million endeavor will make the iconic course even more of an attraction for local and visiting golfers alike.
Luxury has almost landed in Boca Raton: The iconic international hospitality group has begun to put down roots for its fourth United States hotel in the heart of downtown. While an official opening date is still unknown, Boca residents and visitors alike can get excited for the hotel’s spa, rooftop bar & pool, luxurious suites, and so much more coming very soon.
Lovers of this golf-entertainment venue & lounge space, rejoice! The increasingly popular Topgolf company recently purchased a $14.7 million development site in Pompano Beach just north of the Isle Casino Pompano Park. According to the plans, the venue will include a restaurant and bar, rooftop space, and indoor and outdoor seating and dining. Soon, South Florida Topgolf fans won’t have to travel to Miami Gardens or Doral to play one of their golf driving range games!
No waiting required for this one! Just last month, the cities of both Boca Raton and Aventura opened their very own Brightline stations, now marking both cities as major hubs along the railway’s route with the likes of other major cities like Miami. Aventura’s stop is located right across from the Aventura Mall, one of the area’s hottest shopping destinations; soon, a pedestrian bridge will be built for even easier access from the station. Boca’s station is located in the heart of downtown, just steps away from Mizner Park, Royal Palm Plaza, and more. Residents of both cities can also now easily access West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and, soon, Orlando, on a smooth, elevated, and brief train ride.
Calling South Florida home is special for so many reasons, from our gorgeous shores and both small-scale and large-scale attractions, to our family friendly neighborhoods and luxury condominiums. These new developments are only a small portion of the list of upcoming projects that will further put our area on the map.
